Our Mission

Brandon Johnson embarked on his IT journey with a strong technical foundation, evident from his CompTIA A+ and Net+ certifications in 2007 and 2008. This early commitment to core IT skills led him to various roles where he honed his abilities. He gained initial hands-on experience repairing hardware and assisting users at CompUSA, Cedars Hospital, and M.D. Public Schools, where he also managed file servers and assisted with network issues. His time at Hostway Corp provided exposure to web hosting, DNS configuration, and email client support.
Expanding his technical scope, Brandon took on a contract role at Itau Private Bank, where he remotely assisted bankers, managed file servers, and handled backup systems. His experience at Dell, Inc. involved building, repairing, and troubleshooting various computer systems. These roles provided a diverse set of technical skills and problem-solving experience.
A significant period of growth occurred during his time at Teleperformance. As a Help Desk Tier 2 for HughesNet, he provided phone support for satellite communication sites, troubleshooting complex issues and working with network engineers. Later, as a Technical Support Engineer for 8x8 Inc., he tackled advanced technical issues, supported a wide range of VoIP products and services, and utilized his knowledge of customer environments to provide timely resolutions.
Brandon's career progressed into more specialized areas. At ISR Transit, as an IT Analyst, he analyzed and supported sophisticated tracking systems, provided training on CAD and AVL software, and managed critical systems like Equal-logics and Net-backup.
His tenure at FirstService Residential Management, Inc. marked a significant advancement. Starting as an IT Support Analyst, he honed his skills in troubleshooting network issues with tools like netstat, netcat, tcpdump, nmap, dig/nslookup, and traceroute. He supported over 7500 concurrent Citrix users leveraging Citrix Cloud and created detailed documentation. He also contributed to automating IT operations. This role led to his promotion to Citrix Systems Engineer. In this capacity, he demonstrated expertise in server setup, maintenance, and administration in Windows Server environments. He provided support for thousands of Citrix users across multiple datacenters, managed VMware vSphere environments, and automated tasks using Windows PowerShell. He played a key role in migrating Citrix environments and deploying automated Windows desktops. His work also involved Active Directory and Group Policy management, Citrix profile streaming, and physical to virtual server migrations. Notably, he created and implemented PowerShell scripts to automate redundant tasks, increasing efficiency. He maintained a 99.99% uptime for Citrix VDI environments and developed self-healing systems using PowerShell and Python. He also designed and implemented file system architecture and modernized infrastructure.
Most recently, Brandon joined B4Solutions as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE). In this role, he is responsible for infrastructure reliability and observability, leveraging AWS, Proxmox, and Kubernetes. He implements Infrastructure as Code (IaC) with Terraform, Ansible, and GitLab CI/CD and automates hardware provisioning. He utilizes monitoring tools like SIEM, Prometheus, and Grafana and optimizes workloads across cloud and on-premise systems. His focus includes security and compliance, implementing Zero Trust Architecture, MFA, and VLAN segmentation. He also focuses on scalability, performance engineering, and resilience engineering, including establishing disaster recovery plans.
Throughout his career, Brandon has consistently demonstrated a commitment to problem-solving, continuous learning, and adopting new technologies, culminating in his current expertise in site reliability engineering and cloud technologies. His journey reflects a deep understanding of IT infrastructure, a proactive approach to automation, and a dedication to ensuring reliable and efficient systems.
